Hi, Everyone!!

This month I will keep it short and bittersweet because it's so hard to write about normal things when your heart is broken.

For those of you who don't know, Venezuela is experiencing the hardest moments in the past few years. Shortage of food and medicine are rampant and there is an almost civil war going on between the people that are starving and just want a better future and the corrupt government clinging to power.

In the last 40 days, more than 40 young people (16 to 31 years old) have been murdered by government forces, over 300 are detained without their families knowing where they are, and thousands more are wounded.

My heart is broken, and I'm lost in a sea of uncertainty searching for a way to function in everyday life when your mind and heart are somewhere else. How do you live in a state of normality when your land is in chaos and your family and friends in danger?

I don't have the answer, but I serve a God who does. He knows the beginning and the end. He sustains me trough this pain, and He will set my people free because that is who He is, Jesus, the Chain breaker.
